no. just put the key in the ON position and release the clutch when you are rolling.

Here's an example to show you sort of how it works without killing your batter to try and do it. When you are driving on the highway and everything is clear around you and you are on a straight away (had to put in the disclaimer so the hippies would leave me alone)....Ok so you are going about 65mph. Push in the clutch. Leave it in what ever gear you are in...hopefully 5th or 6th. Turn the key to the OFF position. The car should just be rolling along at 65mph now. Turn the key back to the ON position. DO NOT TRY TO CRANK THE MOTOR. Just turn it to the ON position. Now ease off the clutch. Car is back on now right?

Same way a push start works...just much faster, obviously.

*If you wreck or damage something because you messed up the simple instructions...I'm not a fault. You are, for being a dolt.*
