This seems to be a defective-by-design transmission. Read how many people got it rebuilt only to get the same or worse problem; its all on this forum!

No, my honda is not fine. I have the same 3rd gear issue and thin paint that everyone complains about. You just have to find personal ways to fix it to get around it. Just like you Im not trying to be negative because if you can pull it off, My hats off to you
