I haven't seen anyone sanding down the vanes on a stock air box so I thought I would give it a try. I had previously put in a K&N panel filter and removed the resonator and didn't notice much of an increase, but once I sanded the vanes it was a totally a different story. The car pulls much harder now. I'm sure I could squeeze more power if I went with the complete X Intake, but I wanted to keep the stock look.
