Nevermind,
I scrapped that first wire and used another wire (aux cable), which already had the ground wire in one wire. My first wire (headphones) had a red, yellow, green yellow and the two yellow's were the ground. The second wire (aux cable) had a red, yellow, and white. After experimenting with combinations and the help of my uncle, we figured out the red wire was the ground. The sound works now. Maybe the first wire (headphone) was broken or something.

Now I just have to mingle around with it some more because my sound system is giving me a sound output lower than I expected. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for the DIY!
