it does connect draw its air from below its just not showing everything. and your saying run 2 air filters? lol im sorry but if thats what your saying its 1. poitnless. and 2. going to reduce hp from restriction.
to sum it up the ice box is basically run the way the stock system is. only larger less restricted plastic piping for much less heat soak then after market aluminum systems.

enclosing the filter is also a way to shield it from the engine. unless you wanted to replace the lower box completly. but if i remember correctly comptech connects the ice box to the factory lower box.
