Well, true, but a "new" idea would be a high-flow air filter on both ends with high-flow plumbing - heat soak, maybe...but between the CAI's "colder" air and the "heat-soaked" warmer air from the SRI, the combination would have to produce a median air temperature which would be a) warmer than the CAI alone, but b) cooler than the SRI alone. Right? I mean, I'm no physics expert, but isn't that the point of the stock system now? It's just restrictive with the plumbing and the filters, but the concept of a median cooler temperature must be the point of making a Y-connected air intake system.
And that picture doesn't look anything like a Y-connected filter system. It looks like the stock air box in the engine compartment?
