you might want to edit you post with correct information...

a camber kit can be "necessary" with or without any drop. better handling can be acquired with a camber kit by istelf, you do not NEED any aftermarket springs to warrent one.

also, eibach makes 2 different springs, (pro-kit, sportlines) both of which require a camber kit if you want anywhere near the stock settings.

and shcoks/strut will "blow" even with OEM springs. they will wear over time and its inevitable tha tthey will need to be replaced. shocks are recomended to be replaced during a certian mileage interval, and some people have had springs on their car for the entire interval and not had them "blow".
