Great DIY, it helped me a lot.
I did, however, find a great surprise when I took off my pedal covers:
the holes were already there on both pedals! I had to use the drill to auger them out a bit, but they were in the right places. I guess the factory ran out of regular pedals that day and put the SI pedals on instead, neat huh.
