That was not my logic at all. I used one example of one finche. There are different species with different shaped beaks as well as length of beake on the same species. The different finches typically fill different niche's. I was specifically talking about the grub or insect eating finches eating from the trunks of trees. There are also finches who eat fruit and seeds.
This type of evolution, known as character displacement was observed over 20 years. As I said in previous posts, the unusual circumstances with the isolation of those islands rapidly increased the viewable speed of the evolution process.
Dont get me started with the pepper moths if you want a polymorphism in the same species.
The only faith based argument you can possibly argue successfully would be where it all started. All of the research, documentation and studys are on evolutions side other than the "beginning". Evolution happens, if you dont want to accept it you are choosing not to despite overwhelming evidence. If you choose to believe there is a higher being guiding and looking over and something who started it....I cannot argue with that. I simply cannot explain how well it works or where it started. If you are looking to cling to something.....alleyoop i guess? spelling?
