Oh, for sure, but if this is the kind of thing he worries about then he should know the risks. I have been autocrossing for 8 years and have never had an issue but we have all seen the videos on the net (like that guy who lost control in a borrowed car and ran into a bunch of parked cars in the paddock) and I do know a couple of guys who have really lost it and broken lips and suspension components on curbs and stuff...

All these things could happen on the street too and I always say that when you go to an autocross or track to learn better driving skills the chances of you (or someone else) wadding up your car on the street are greatly diminished...
