Heh, don't tell my wife that 40-something is too old. Lol, she KNOWs I am the biggest kid, with the most toys, in the house. Frankly, life is just now getting 'fun' when you have the time and money to do the things you want without having to worry about it.
Your perceptions are interesting, if near completely incorrect in today's healthy older society. Many people are living longer, 'younger' healthier lives...much to the consternation of their children who will never see an inheritanace before THEY too are 'old'. Perhaps it is different in your society, but, as the new saying goes "50 is the new 35", chief.
