Shifting into second gear my tires broke loose for a few seconds (20 degrees out, tires were slipping) and we were even. About the top of second gear he started to pull on me. We raced up to 130 mph and he had pulled about a car and a half on me.
I was pretty impressed that i kept up that close. The car is real quick and i must say i kinda like the look of them. THE WHINE was AWSOME. when we were neck and neck, that blower was right in my ear and i just smiled.
Anyways, for all those wondering how si's match up with s/c cobalts, its a pretty good race with the edge to the cobalt, pulling 1-2 cars. BTW I have an aem intake. Also took him from a 30mph or so roll. Same result, got me by about 1.5-2 cars.
I dont know if it will make a difference, but i havent cleaned my intake for about 6,000 miles. Im gonna clean it, and then try to run the guy again. Im hoping cleaning the filter might increase flow or something and maybe help me out a little. I think with a race header or maybe exhaust i could keep up with him.
After i clean out the filter im gonna run him again and try to get a video of it. If anyone wants i can try to post it up. =]
sorry for the long post, just trying to let some of you guys know the result.
Theyre pretty quick and sound great.
Happy Holidays everybody
