Just signed...
I'm guessing that a lot of the problem is because there really isn't enough Si's out for Honda to really give a shit...
There just aren't enough of our cars on the road for Honda to think...
"Oh damn... If we don't do a recall, our reputation as a "reliable" Automobile Manufacturing company might get ruined!!!"
It reminds me of the scene in Fight Club when Edward Norton is explaining how he works for a car company:
"A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one."
Granted... our cars grinding while going into 3rd probably won't get anyone killed haha, but you get the point...
