Any name brand oil is going to work well for 4-5k miles
and ordinary driving.

It's only a concern if your are excessive in the long term care of
your car. Typically people will keep a car 3 years and then
the oil doesn't matter.

If you want to run 10k miles or more on the oil to save
money or help the environment, a synthetic
is absolutely necessary. The conventional oils may not last long
enough depending on conditions and climate, it's a chance.

But, my motivation to run amsoil is to save money.
At 1.5-2 mpg fuel savings, it saves me $300 per year on one car,
with 3 cars in the family it's important. This car will probably stay in the
family, get turned over to the kids, run many years through college
so I'm going to use amsoil in the civic.

The accords are leased and will get sold or turned in, so I only
use amsoil for the fuel savings.
