first diy...permanent radar detector perfect location i think..lots of pics

i was tired of the cord hanging and having the radar detector in my way so i came up with a solution...didn't think it would workbeing on the dot matrix but it really does hold so far....

things needed:
radar detector and bracket(duh!)
rear view mirror mounting button and window glue
sand paper
jb kwik or some other type of heavy duty glue

first step:
mount the buttonn to the radar detector bracket..you will need to use the epoxy and sand the bracket down for it to hold

second step:
mount the button and bracket to the windshield...at first i didn't think it would stick to the dot matrix but i wanted to try anyways and it is holding exceptionally well...if it ends up not staying i'll just mount it to the left of the mirror...no biggy...but i like it here better.

third step:
splice into your adapter the same way you would with anything else

fourth step:
routing wires...i read on another thread you can use the wires in the dome light...last time i tried that i broke the dome light on my cherokee so i stayed away from that...so i pushed the wires up above the headliner and then tucked it into the pillar and then down the door jam and into the fuse box area

fifth step: if anyone has a better place to hook wires up let me know but these worked best for me...i hooked the power to fuse 1(power windows) because of being ignition hot...i also tried used accessory but maybe i'm dumb but i thought it was just ignition hot but its always hot...and i grounded to the bolt on the fuse block(i'm might change this haven't decided)

almost done:

hope everyone enjoys...i was feeling guilty using everyone else diy's and not contributing....
