I ruled that one out when buying one as a present a week ago for a few reasons. It has a very low POI database (something like 700 thousand). Since I live in minnesota, I'm gonna assume we have a lot less than a place like cali or ny would have.. and POI's are important to me because it's nice to be able to find the nearest gas station when you're running low.
I also had one freeze on me when I was demoing it and read that this was a small problem. It was also kind of slow at computing simple things like a touch on the screen. I also read route calculations and re-calculations were slow as well.
Simply put, there is better to be had out there, and Garmin is definitely one of them.
