on an si i wouldn't go with snow tires unless you live in super snow area. FWD, 6-speed Manual, LSD, and ZERO power under 4k rmps = a good car in the snow. it will be very easy to contorl because you don't have any power unless you rev it the sky.
snow tires ware out really quick, you probably get 2 winters out of them with average milage. (8k per winter) I had snow tires on my eclipse because it had 220 lbs tq at 3k rmps. even with a manual its hard to keep that beast from sliding sideways off the road. ( and i'm not kidding) i'm not even thinking snow tires on the Si

I've gotten away with just using all seasons on the other cars I've driven, but then again they were also pretty heavy (mini van) or AWD (CR-V). This is why I was looking into getting just mild winter tires since the winter's here aren't really all that bad, and the streets are always plowed anyway. Perhaps I should look into all seasons as well. Thanks for the input.
