They are both good games. I have Guitar Hero 2 and 3 and rock band. Guitar hero is better if u just like the guitar, but rock band is good if u want to jam with your friends and like singing or playing the drums. You can use the guitar hero 3 guitar on rock band so you can have a bass or backup guitar player also.
