I got the short shifter installed last night - that was very easy to do!
The shifter base bushings was a whole another story. Basically, I gave up as I really didn't want to have to remove my center console to install/retrieve bushings

. I am very mechanically inclined, but it was late and I got frustrated (after recovering a OEM bushing or two - and decided it wasn't worth installing the new shifter base bushings)

.
I also got my after market auto-dimming mirror installed too - see more info about how to that here:
DIY: Installing Autodimming Homelink Mirror (No A-Pillar)
I will tackle the shifter cable bushings tonight - those should go well. I already like the shorter throws esp w/ my shifter knob spun all the way down! I have about 4" of throw from gear to gear - just right IMHO. The bushings will help even more (at least I hope they do).
