"Do Not Excede 40 psi" ??? (long winded) (tire question, not boost)
Cliffs notes version in bold
Hankook Ventus R-S2 z212 Sized 215/45/17 ZR rated
I got new wheels, as some of you may have seen and new tires as well for auto-xing.
I put em on the other night and went and put some cones in a parking lot I knew woudln't be in use.
After a couple of hours of running the tires pretty hard, we measured them at 50psi front, and 47ish back. I /reallllllly/ liked the way the car felt at this point.
I drove home, changed my wheels out, and put the autox wheels in my garage and went about my merry way. Today I come home and decide to see what my cold psi was to get 50/47 hot. All 4 wheels measured 42 psi. Now, they've been sitting in an un-airconditioned garage outside all day. To give you an idea the tempatures here, its almost 8pm, and cloudy, and its 97 out as per my back door thermometer - I don't know that this really counts as a "cold" reading.
Either way though - Should I look at droping the presure, or will running them a few psi high be alright? Will running them at 50 psi while hot hurt anything? (Being as my plan is to even further inflate them, then let air out slowly as the day goes on, to allow me to stay at my desired psi, rather than maybe get there by run 4 or 5 of 6)
