both side of what?
did you not perform and alignment after the switch?
You then talked about to STX because you want to switch to cam bolts that will yield greater negative camber, please help me understand your logic in doing this, since you will not change any other suspension component, and you are still wearing street tires.
What I found during my first autocross with the car bone stock (no alignments), and wearing a set of khumo v710s, is that the car behave way better than I expected. In fact, I felt that there were more times left to be had with more seat time. As Anthony stated, when I was at Englishtown, the car would benefit with a little bit of toe out on all four corners. Furthermore, I found the SI to understeer a bit less than my EVOs and STIs that I've been autocrossing for the past two years.
Awaiting your further explanation . . . .

I started out with negative camber - but the crash bolts (which are just 14mm bolts in place of 16mm bolts) seem to have slipped with subsequent autoxing ... allowing the front wheels to slide into a more positive position. I did have an alignment done after changing the bolts, and will have another done after the rear is fixed (I was rear ended 2 weeks ago - but the positive camber started before that).
I've been quite pleased with the Si's stock performance, especially on my Azenis - don't get me wrong. But going up against race tires in GS ... I just can't compete with that (and don't want race rubber). STX - no race tires are allowed, so I'd be on "even ground" in that respect.
If I switched to STX ... I'd likely be considering some suspension work as well (which is a good reason to stay in GS - I'm starting grad school in the fall and need to watch the budget). It's really just an idea I'm throwing around, and I do appreciate your view on GS vs STX! As long as I'm autoxing ... :)
And the cam bolts wouldn't really give me great camber ... but they wouldn't slip. Actually - if I could devise some kind of shim to slip in with my crash bolts, perhaps that could prevent some of the slippage.
