Honestly, if you want something in the 32" range, don't bother with 1080p. If you have the $$ to go bigger, like 42" or bigger, get 1080p. As stated above, you won't notice the difference between 1080i and 1080p on a 32". In fact, not very many manufacturers make 1080p TV's in that size. Most start in the 40" and up.
I'd say take the deal you found now and get a bigger 1080p some time down the road.
