Yeah. Try to go early too like around 10 or 11. I went around 2 before but I ended up rushing because I was the last one and I was pass the closing time. Which ended with a low score which I didn't like.
English take your time, read the questions first then read the passage. After reading the passage look for the answers.
Writing. After you're done correcting, read it over if it makes sense. Reading it out loud to yourself helps a lot also, you'll hear it and if it doesn't make sense change it. And mostly all sentences needs changing. There's rarely one you don't need to.
Math- I just gotta say study for it. Since you mentioned math is not your strong points, go to boarders and get a book about algebra. Going to the math lab (LCC) also has a placement book which might help too, as well as the worksheets. The worksheets has formulas, examples, and problems to work on. Some are old but they're really good. On the test if you have to use the calculator. Some people don't know it but on the computer, you can change the calculator into a scientific calculator. That really helped me a lot because there was somethings I didn't learn before but there was some instruments on the calculator that helped me solve the problem.
Where are you planning on taking it? You can take it at LCC, KCC, HCC, etc. They're all in the same system so it doesn't matter where you take it.
I think all you need is a picture ID, and know your Social #.
