Honda of old used the Si designation for their higher end cars. Therefore, I don't really see it dying out, especially with all the house-tuned cars out there now. The "Si" sets it apart from the base model in a quick and easy fashion, just like the SRT4 and/or MazdaSpeed 3.

They may skip a year, but it won't ever really die out. It's almost like "GTi", y'know?

When they skip a year or two, will they still be selling the civic si's at dealerships from the previous year (the year they dident skip) or will they just not be able to buy from a dealership for those years that were skipped??
