this might have already been discussed, but the first oil change might be different. read the owners manual...thats what its there for

when the car comes from the factory it has special additives in the engine to condition it for its hopefully lengthy operation. you dont want to change the oil too soon the first time around because those additives need to remain in the engine. this according to my dealership.
