Thanks for this info and the wiring to the aux plug. I've done it and all appears to work well. However, I'm concerned about using a solid jumper from 5 to 6 vs. a resistor. If a resistor is intended then wouldn't the jumper draw more current? I'm concerned that if it was designed for a resistor then I'm possibly drawing more current and risking over-heating or damaging the radio or AUX wiring.
Please let me know if you have had any over heat / over current problems.
