Whoa two against me i feel so ... loved.
Every caar manufacturer has changed paints due to environmental problems and procedues you have to follow(one of them is emission if you didn't know). So, most car manufacturers are now using environment-friendly paint with a thinner clear-coat.
You can see this even on the 3 series. Mazda has a thicker paint but ehh you don't want that type of paint. it doesn't get swirls but with time it cracks. And i don't mean as in 7-10 years but less than 2 yearslol.

Edit: whoa i just re-read my response lol Wanted to say two things at once but it came out to be a complete mess! lol
