Yeah 18 AWG t-taps are the red ones. The blue ones are for 16 AWG. I was just saying that when I was driving around looking for 18 AWG t-taps, I couldn't find any. I saw them on eBay for a little over 5 bucks shipped. Kragens has a pack of four 16 AWG t-taps for about 2 dollars. So I was just going for value when I bought the pack of 50.

And the different sizes matter since you would want it to fit as well as possible. Plus, you are tapping into the dome light. There is not a lot of room to tap into the dome light when I was trying to get to it in the fuse box area. I had trouble even getting the 18 AWG t-taps. I can't imagine using a larger size. So smaller would be better.
