Honda has succeeded IMO. For me, my friends, and several comments I've seen on these boards. We are now wearing our belts constantly to avoid hearing the chime.
I like the idea of some tape over it. That thing is so loud. Good in case you forget your keys in the ignition. But otherwise I could do without it.
I guess the guys at Honda were one step ahead of us.
