I think I may end up playing with the wiring as well to get them to come on with the running lights so if there ever really is fog, they will be useful.

I will look for that diy, but our switch is in the turn signal bar off the steering wheel, I really wanted a switch! but the VSA!!!!! , So, I will check with the wiring too, and let me know if you come up with anything.
