Many vehicles, many exhausts, never changed the way the transmission felt. My last vehicle I changed the exhaust 5 times before I got just what I wanted in sound. Drone was hard to get rid of. Any way, I don't think it's the exhaust my guess is because you can hear the motor rpms better YOU are shifting better not the car. Just my 02.
