I have a lot of paint problems myself and because it is used and has a bunch of miles on it, they said that the paint chips on the front of the vehicle is normal due to driving it. Is your car new? If it is this shouldn't be a problem to get fixed. I have never heard of some place actually gluing a lip on so I don't think that is what they will do. Chances are they will just put new tape on there.
