Some people just don't understand why we're having the meet in the rural NC mountains instead of a more central location (where the roads are flat, straight, and boring).

One person there said calling it a "meet" is really a misnomer. It's more like a mini-vacation. It does indeed require some time, energy, and money to make the drive and participate. Many people realized at the last minute that money was too tight, they had things to do, etc.

However, as far as I know, everyone that has ever been to either meet has found it to be a rewarding experience. Most importantly, you get to spend a few days with other people from 8thCivic and truly get to know a little about them. Also, you get to drive your car on some of the best roads in the world.

I plan on adding a couple more activities to next year but the spirit of the event will stay the same. Hope to see you there!

yea some people dont know how fun it is to drive on some real smooth curved roads, i use to live in northern california and had a few meets up in tahoe area, reno, and now that im in northwest arkansas there are sure some fun driving areas out in the hills. Im glad you all had fun, and if any meets come up i wouldnt mind making the drive... i havent been in 8th that long but im sure i'll be making up for that and joining u all in a few meets
