I am pretty sure that all garage door openers have a learn or training mode so that new remotes can be programed for it. This means that you shouldn't have to replace the circuit board when you move. Instead, put the opener in training mode and hit the button on your built in opener. That's what I had to do to program my girlfriend's lexus. The original opener still works too.
