They got some DOPE DOPE stuff coming ya'll!!
Here are the highlights and pics:
-iPod Shuffle gets four new colors, they look pretty fresh too.
-iPod Nano has been redesigned. The screen is a little bigger and you can now watch videos on it with the same resolution of the Video iPod. They now have 24 hour battery life for music on a single charge. The price is NICE too. 4GB for ONLY $150! 8GB for $200! They are shipping TODAY, to be in stores by the weekend:
"The iPod nano is the most popular music player in history, said Jobs. People love it, he added, but Apple wnated to make it better based on customer feedback. New features of the redesigned iPod nano include the ability to watch video on a larger, brighter display. The new iPod nano also features Cover Flow, the ability to scroll through album artwork visually. What's more, the new nano also has games support, more storage features and a full metal design.
The redesigned iPod nano comes in five colors -- red, black, silver, blue and green. "It's incredibly tiny, it's incredibly thin," said Jobs.
The iPod nano now features a 2.0-inch display that features the same resolution as the previous-generation full-sized iPod: 320 x 240 pixels. "We've achieved this with a screen with the highest pixel density we've ever shipped: 204 ppi," explained Jobs. "And the screen is just gorgeous. We you see it you're going to really love it.
The user interface has been enhanced on the iPod nano -- the left side has the traditional iPod menu, and on the right, a preview of what you're selecting. Jobs also indicated that the new iPod nano ships with three games -- Vortex and Sudoku were both named specifically.
Jobs said the new iPod nano provides 24 hours of audio and five hours of video playback on a single battery charge.
The redesigned iPod nano comes in two versions -- a 4GB version in silver, for $149, and 8GB version in colors, for $199.
"These new nanos have left our factories already. They shipped today, they're on planes, they should be in stores by this weekend," said Jobs. "'A little video for everyone'" is our new line."
-They are now referring to the original iPod as the iPod Classic. This has also been redesigned with a full metal case, and like the Nano, it uses an enhanced user interface. The smallest one is now 80GB and is thinner than the current 30GB iPod. 30 HOURS of battery time for music! Apple is also offering a model that features 160GB of storage.
"This boggles the mind," said Jobs for emphasis. "The first iPod put 1000 songs in your pocket. This new iPod puts 40,000 songs in your pocket. It's amazing."
Again, the price on these things are low for what they used to be: 80GB for $250 and 160 GB for $350 (The current 30GB is $250)
Here’s all the new iPods:
And now….the moment I’ve been WAITING for…………
-The iPod Touch
The iPod Touch is basically an iPhone without the phone. The device is thinner than the iPhone, includes Wi-Fi, a 3.5” widescreen display and a 22 hour battery life. It looks exactly like the iPhone without the slit for an ear speaker and is 8MM thinner. It’s going to include a version of the Safari web browser and a calculator, contacts, clock, calendar, as well as the exact same user interface as the iPhone, resizing pages and pictures as well as the automatic changing of the display from widescreen to vertical, and of course, that slick looking album cover flip/selection. Pricing on this one is obviously higher than the other models:
“The iPod touch is coming in two configurations—8GB and 16GB, for $299 and $399 respectively. Both models are expected to be available “in just a few weeks,” according to Jobs, who said that Apple will ship them in September, “in plenty of time for the holiday season.”
Other stuff:
They also talked about Wi Fi iTunes on the iPod Touch. It seems like basically you can access your iTunes account from anywhere using Wi Fi and when you connect back to your computer, the stuff you bought from iTunes will sync up on the PC. They announced a partnership with Starbucks so that people with iPhones and iPod Touches will get a “Starbucks” icon on their home screen, and touching/clicking that will connect you right to Starbuck’s Wi Fi network. They also talked about a price cut for the iPhone. The 8GB model is no longer $599, it’s going to be $399.

I seriously want to pick up one of those iPod Touch things...I've wanted one of those since I first saw the iPhone and I KNEW they would have to include that interface on an iPod sometime in the near future.
