Being that your sedan and civic have the exact same engine, I don't see how it's "apples and oranges," nor how you could possibly give such a gleaming review of this intake from your ass dyno on a different car when your previous dynos showed that for $/hp, the spacer/gaskets are a better choice. If you had
1. ur first paragraph is accurate to an extent ... they will proved HP over the WHOLE rpm range! HP and torque from bottom to top ... more USEABLE power and not just top end like a CAI .. they will also end up being cheaper and they will not cause low rpm bog, rich or lean conditions, stutters etc ...

2. to refer to the first paragraph ... they CAI man probably make gains with a lil tuning .... but u can't tune right now so u run rich and there are no extra gains ... that's what the dyno said.

3. my sedan and civic? li think u meant sedan and coupe... yes they are th same car with the same motor ... but most importantly DIFFERENT mods .... different mods will produce different results. u can't compare a spacer to a cai ... that's apples and oranges ...

4. the coupe is an 06 ... stock ... check the date of th thread ... u'll see how old it was ...
the sedan was an 07 not stock , check the date of the thread and u'll see how recent it is ... the 2 cars cannot be compared cuz one was stock + cai and the other was modded + cai ... so the results will be different ..

5, i had a dyno of my coupe with just the cai ... it was good for about 10 hp and i can't remember how much torque over my stock dyno ... it was a dyno i did before i put the ajp turbo, much like a baseline ... but there's no denying it makes power, it also comes with a series of hiccups that u can feel if u were in tune with ur car before the install of the cai ...

6. search ... there's plenty of intake dynos on here ....
Well said.
