Mine work fine...NO I repeat NO harness. I plugged directly in, the ONLY thing I get is the wonderful turn on flash, about a 10 second start up, and then a little time to warm to a brilliant white(its gangsta) and then solid beams no flickering no nothing. I can turn them on and THEN start the car and no dimming, or blinking other than maybe a millisecond. I would say put them in without the harness and see what works for you, then decide.
