HID light output will always be a lot more than any sort of Halogen bulb in a basic housing, even without projectors.
Personally, there'll be some staunch nay-sayers about going with just a basic HID Plug-n-Play kit. But from what I've seen, glare is minimal, and pictures don't actually show the whole story. Cameras take in light, and taking a picture in a low-light environment means the shutter will be open more...usually exaggerating the glare of the HIDs.
Anyway, I saw an FG2 with an HID PnP and it looked awesome. I'm still getting a retrofit done, because I want that cool starlight pattern, but it looked good enough. My old car...now THAT had glare problems, especially due to the older style halogen reflectors inside. It threw light EVERYWHERE...but the new civics have a much sharper definition, probably because of the shape of the cluster itself. I say go for it.
It's not like there's a real negative to it. And if you don't like those, well...there goes a good amount of cash.
