Don't forget that Honda makes springs and dampers specifically for the 8th gen Civics: Their HFP suspension kit (Honda Factory Performance). It's something like $600 from College Hills Honda. Drops the Civic an inch and firms things up.

Can't really go wrong with Honda-engineered stuff that's specifically made for your exact car, I feel. :-) There's an HFP kit for the sedan.
