Yup, I'm sure. It's an Energizer A23 that says "12V" right on it. I also tested it with my voltmeter to confirm. It's quite a bit smaller than your typical 1.5V "AAA' battery as you can see.

haha you right dude! i thought they were all 1.5v. sure enough, when i checked mine today it was A23 and said 12v right on it. Props to a great DIY by the way, i think im going to put mine next to the shifter, where i have my interior lights switch
