Anway, from a professional point of view, you can try to get someone who is knowledgeable in that field (polishing) to try to get that out, but don't trust just anyone. Sure, any Joe Blow can pick up a polisher and whip up some compound and burn right through our thin clear coats, so BE CAREFUL WHO YOU CHOOSE!!!

I would try the finger nail test first. Go along the scratch with your finger nail, and if it feels TOO deep then it would have to get painted.
