I love it, very warm below 3000rpm, then loud, then very muscular...not ricey at all. For the price it was a steal, and since the quality is good too, I'm looking forward to seeing what extra power this thing will provide.
It has definately smoothed out the power band, so it's not as abrupt with power when shifting gears.
Yes it is an automatic. Got it for $194 (includes tax and shipping) shipped in 3 days...installed that day/night. You have to look for the injen SRI, and it's the one for the base model civic (I don't know why they don't fix their site, but their error is your gain!
On Nipponpower.com, it's $275)
It looks SRI convertable for those with water issues...I don't see why it would not be. I'm not going to conver to SRI, so if you give them an e-mail they'll let you know usually reply within the day.
