The one insect that freaks me out completely are horse flies.

HATE those things so much. They're huge, fast, maneuverable, and will attack you as soon as you're spotted. They have mandibles that just cut into you so they can draw blood. They do it so fast you don't have time to even kill it.
I've been on the receiving end of a bite from those and a wasp. I can tell you right now that a horse fly is about 10 times more painful. =(
If one of these flew into my car I would just slam into a brick wall at 70mph so I can kill it.
