I have an '07 Si sedan that I bought in Dec. to use as a daily driver between NYC and northern NJ (ca. 30 miles each way).
1. So far totally reliable. You can definitley hear the sporty engine but overall I find it to be a very quiet car. Comfort is great (I'm 6'1" and have plenty of room. I love the interior.) If there's a downside it's poor visibility. The 'A' pillars sometimes obscure pedestrians crossing in front of you, you can't see the nose of the car from the driver's seat, and rear 3/4 visibiltiy is not good. You'll need the side mirrors a lot. But hey... it's an absolute blast to drive! Absolutely amazing zipping through the turns at moderate speeds. I have the most fun in this car between 30 and 40 mph which makes it a great commuter (as long as traffic allows!)
2. Seems OK in the snow, no worse than any other sedan, but of course not a 4WD either. If you're trying to get out of a drift remember to turn off the VSA until you get going (then definitely remember to turn it back on!)
3. My milage has been 24-26 mpg (gradually improving since I bought it new in Dec.). On long trips I've gotten 30-35 mpg but we're talking very steady speeds for several hours, definitely not the NY/NJ commute. So... not a Prius, but not an El Dorado either.
Hope this helps!
