I am pretty sure...not 100%, but pretty sure that the "not so smoothness" of shifting into 2nd is from the gears in the tranny spinning faster than the others. It takes a bit more work for those synchros to line up, and let you get into that gear. Makes sense right? At lower rpms, everything is spinning more slowly, so its easier to line up and get into gear...while when the rpms are higher its harder.
Why is it only with second? The gear is shorter, thus spins faster. Its like the difference between 6th and 1st on the extreme side of things. 1st obviously spins a heck of a lot faster.
I dont know, its late...Ive had a little to drink...makes sense to me.
