At your next fill up, reset either "Trip A" or "Trip B" to "0". This is done so you know how many miles you drive leading up to your NEXT fill up.
At the
next fill up, record how many gallons you pumped and the miles on your trip meter. Do NOT overfill.
Calculate as follows: Miles driven / Gallons filled. Record the result.
Then reset your trip meter and start over again.
