Yes I can shed some light for you. No need to spend big bucks $$ on a bigger brake kit. Just wait a few months until aftermarket pads are out for our cars. Getting some Hawk or Cobalt Friction pads will make a world of difference in your braking distances. Night and day. Brembo will have rotors out for LX/EX soon but you don't have to wait for new rotors if aftermarket pads are out. Brembo had the rotors for my '01 EX available a few months after I bought the car which was about a year after the 7th gen had been introduced. I put 90k mi. on that set of Brembos and Hawk HP+ (90% highway driving though) and stumped on them every chance I got because I loved how those pads stopped the car. It stopped better than my GSR that had Axxis Ultimate pads on.

So there 's no need to get heavier rotors and calipers which will hurt your acceleration and your pocket. All you need is OEM size Brembos (or Brembo blanks as they 're called by many) for about $30 ea., and some good aftermarket pads, $65-80/pair. Guaranteed 10-15ft shorter stopping distances from 60mph depending on which pad you go with.
