This is a great weekend to flush the tranny since the wife and kids are going out of town. A great time to do alot of things actually.
Anyway, the MT LX has exactly 4062 miles on her, with plenty of 4k - 6k sweeps on the tach. 75% highway, 25% city, and my last tank was my best yet at 36mpg's. Is it too early to flush the tranny or is now the right time?
I have access to the oil, a buddy's got like 9 leftover quarts of Redline MT-90 I can have. From what I've read, I think I'd rather use the MTL than the MT-90. Any ideas?
So obviously the R18 and the Si motor don't have a dipstick to check the fluid level, we use the filler bolt to check. Where the heck is the drain bolt? I haven't been under there for that purpose yet, it may be staring me in the face. Simple drain and fill right, 1.7 quarts?
