What I wrote up there is not correct...just an idea of what it is like...since you don't have a manual here you are...
With auto tranny:
Make sure the shift lever is in park, and close the driver's door.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
Set the parking brake.
Push and hold the brake pedal, then move the shift lever out of Park (P).
Push and hold the front of the master lock switch on the driver's door. You will hear a clicking sound, and after about 5 seconds, you will hear another clicking sound.
Release the switch, move the shift lever to Park (P), and turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (O) position for 5 seconds.
For manual:
Close the driver's door.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
Set the parking brake.
Push and hold the front of the master door lock switch on the driver's door. You will hear a clicking sound, and after about 5 seconds, you will hear another clicking sound.
Release the switch, and turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (0) position for 5 seconds.
Push and hold the front of the master lock switch on the driver's door. You will hear a clicking sound, and after about 5 seconds, you will hear another clicking sound.
Release the switch, and turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (0) position within 5 seconds.
As for the milage display:
To switch the information display between the odometer, trip meter, and outside temperature (if equipped), and engine oil life and maintenence service items, press the SEL/RESET button repeatedly (it says somewhere else that this is also where average fule consuption is displayed, so hopefully by doing this it will come up...). If not let me know...I will also try it later today...
Hope this helps...
