I respect your right to rant, but this seems particularly silly.
All cars are different. I recently took my parents Landrover on a road trip. The gauge got down to almost the bottom, and the light came on. My mom thought I better pull over right away to fill it up. I told her to relax, there was plenty left in the tank to get us home. Now, on fancier cars, there is this thing called DTE... its a button that lets you know how many KM (or miles) until you hit absolute empty.
Now, you/I own a Civic, you should just know, oh the light came on, I'm almost empty, gotta fill up soon. Once you've had the car for a while, you can usually gauge how much gas/miles you have left.
So the CN version of this is: Buy a luxury vehicle with the DTE feature
